Thanks Greg.. sounds like a great plan.

find one comment odd-

any idea why? seems strange to me. those bumps are a great playground for people just getting started.

Senior olympics. They like to keep Exhibition clear for that.

Any word on the kickers? Maybe not for this weekend, but it would be awesome if once they had a couple runs set up they put a couple kickers on one of them.

Yup, IIRC there's a couple of events that use the side of Exhibition as a low angle race course.

I agree, some practice kickers would be rad!

I wouldn't hold your breath on that one. Jarrod had to collapse the kickers after the bump comp last year. It's that argument that jumps in a bump field are way too dangerous for the general public. I know, I know, kinda hypocritical when you got giant big air jumps in the parks, but most mountains block true kickers in the bumps outside of a comp. Perhaps we'll get a handful of bigger bumps that can act as psuedo-kickers like ones at the bottom of Nor'easter last year. Or maybe some rollers on the Temptor flats. Quite honestly, I'm more than content just having bumps this early.

Don't get me wrong; I'm very very happy with the bumps this early. I need to do a lot of work on my dumper air though, and I don't want to waste a bump run going down Stinger. It doesn't even have to "in" the bumps, just somewhere that I can attempt to get some air on the bump trail. They don't need to be full on kickers like what they had in the comp last year either...

They should let us have 1 kicker on wed nights, between runs we can pole it off..Then we can tear it down at the end of the night....I know asking for a lot...and I am truly grateful for even having moguls at all this early in the game!!

Are you guys ever satisfied?

;)

Be happy you got the bumps on opening day. Worry about the rest later. Life's too short.

you better spin a 3 in the comp this year. look at it this way. Whether you land it or not, the end result is sure to be spectacular.

You joke, but strategically planted shovels might not be a bad request. Not so much to build jumps, but rather to clean up some of the lines, especially as we approach the bump comps. Pat and I nibbled the sides off some wall-like bumps last year with the ends of our skis.

Sounded like a rifle blast. Maybe there really is a sniper in those woods that likes to pick you off. Just like in the bump comp. ;)

In general, I agree with you. But I'm thinking back to Jarrod's request for input on kickers in bump runs. I've been hopeful since he posted that.

I guess now would be the time to build in a roller or something. It begs the question, would you all sacrifice a few bumps to have a roller type jump in the middle of the field, sorta like we had at the end of last season? Personally, I wouldn't. I'd rather have top to bottom bumps and just head to the park to practice air. You gotta get air down in a controlled environment before bringing it to the bumps.

not even close. I'll take the 5 or 6 extra bumps over the kicker any day. its not like temptor is the longest bump run to begin with.

I was thinking Temptor is a full bump run, then once they get a second run with bumps a kicker on that. That way there's one with and one without a kicker. Everyone's happy! (except the insurance companies.)

On Exhibition? That field is designed to introduce people to bumps. A kicker wouldn't be good on that. Again, we want more people to learn to love bumps and that's a key area for that. IMO, the only trail that is going to be long enough to support sacrificing some of it for a jump is Gunbarrel. I believe that's where Jarrod was trying to think of a way to incorporate something.
