I know that this is a stretch, but with all of the weather misery we've had lately, any discussion of possible snow is good...

Any inputs from weather gurus (self-proclaimed or otherwise) would be appreciated.

Let's hope that they are wrong and that it is all :snow:

The woeful ranting of a desperate man. False hope being better then no hope. I feel your pain. :(

Are you sure he was talking about Mon & Tues (1/23 & 1/24) and not Sat/Sat night? According to Roger's website, Mon & Tues appear to have slight chances for snow only.

The Sat & Sat night thing (1/21) appears to be that wintry mix garbage according to most sources I've checked (including Roger's website).

According to Josh Fox on the MRG website, we're in for a slight pattern change starting Monday where we'll generally have colder temps and a lower likelihood of r%*&. I hope he's right! I've had enough of this January thaw already.

It will be a moderate coastal storm, but only southern NE looks to be getting much. Should be mostly snow for most of the MA and CT hills, and rain down by the cape.

Just don't forget, the blizzard hit on January 23rd last year. On January 19th (today), they were forecasting a chance of snow showers for that day and maybe a few inches. By rhe 21st, the forecasts were up to 3 feet. Will that happen this time? No. Can we hope it goes up a little more? Oh yea! We need this stuff!

I'm asking about Monday night. I figured the weekend precip event was going to be the same old c**p so I didn't bother asking about it.

At this point, I'm hoping for any change that will usher in consistently colder weather.

I'm getting tired of hearing on the news how "nice" the weather is when the temps push over 50 degrees... :x

I've heard maybe a coastal snowstorm. Long shot.

I should have made it clearer that the "he" in my post referred to Roger Hill since TrailBoss said that Roger was predicting mixed stuff to fall from the sky. I figured that you, Hammer, were referring to Monday & Tuesday based on the dates referenced in your title to this thread. My bad.

Getting back to your original question, I've heard light snow possible for the mountains of Vermont but no major dumping. At least it appears we may have a pattern change on our hands for the next couple of weeks. Let's hope so!

That feels like a slap to the hysterical pessimism I'm in. Right on brother. I keepin' the faith.

Accuweather is now calling for a major coastal storm Monday-Tuesday. Is it happening?

Their forecasts aren't usually accurate, but when the topic ends up on the front page usually end up happening.
