...and we had a low of 37*F last night! Fall officially arrives Wednesday. I love this time of year and it won't be long until the snow flies! :D

Yep, had 38 down in the valley at my pace last night. Going to Home Depot to pick up lumber to build the dog an insulated doghouse. She still doesn't want to sleep inside! Her coats getting thicker though, so I know fall is here, and winter's not far.

AZ winter colors can't be too far off.........

When do they get changed? First Snow Fall in VT, NH, MA or CT?
Historically, I change it once I get the first deep frost here in CT, i.e. ice scraper needed, white grass, etc. Typically sometime in October, but I may surprise you...

I dislike this color scheme. If I knew where you lived I would come there and paint your lawn white so you'd think there had been a heavy frost.

Looks like we'll be dancing with 80 degrees much of this week. Sorry folks, the summer theme stays a bit longer...

I was hoping that the cold would be here to stay... then I heard its supposed to be in the 80's for the next couple days :( I'm ready for SNOW!

I'm sure our heat would have kicked on the last couple of nights... if I had turned the furnace back on...

Up here it did get below freezing late last week. I'm glad I picked all the tomatoes and brought them in. Sky, ghostdog and I went up Starr King (3907') and Waumbek (4006') Sunday morning. There was rime ice above 3900' with drizzle, hail and sleet. Glad we had gloves.

With plenty of rain this month and more sunny weather, the leaves are turning ever so slow into their spectatular colors. Glad we get to see them on fun traverses these next few weeks.

Fall is nicely on schedule!
