What is your ideal temp to go skiing?

Spring and 40's with slush?

20's, solid snow?

0 degrees with 20 layers on?

Spring skiing temperatures, as long as it is actually in the Spring and not in January. Of course I'll take cold weather and a powder day any day.

Nothing beats skiing in April... loose granular corn snow... still good coverage in the woods... and blue skies in the 40s

Teens are pretty perfect. I love a good 60 degree day in the Spring, but that is more about the overall experience it creates, than actually being ideal for skiing.

Except skiing in early February when its about 20 degrees and 18" of fluff just fell on a substantial base! Cold smoke face shots beat goggle tans in my book! :)

Give me about 35 degrees at altitude out West as my ideal - warm, but with the air typically so dry, the snow stays mid winter like! :)

In general though anything between about -30 and + 70 works for me! I'm not picky if i'm out on the hill sliding downhill on some frozen substance! :)

All of the above.

40's with slush is great for bump skiing

20's is great for corduroy carving

Single digits are great at keeping crowds indoors after they've already bought a lift ticket to increase resort revenue.

As long as it's not wicked cold I enjoy it. The rare occasions where my fingers or toes get cold are the exceptions. Just to be clear, I'm rooting on the cold weather for the purposes of base building and snow storms, but I have to admit I really loved last Saturday with 60 degree temps and spring bumps. I hope it was just a preview of late March /early April this year.
