As excited as I am about the return of winter (and I'm very excited), I do not thank you for bringing my brain back to the turn of the decade... not the most recent one... but the one before...

I read your post and immediately got "Pump up the Jam" by Technotronic stuck in my head...

It's 1989 / 1990 all over again in my brain...

make it stop.

Its a good thing winter is coming back because I think a few of us may have too much free time.

Wish I could share your sam excitement. Here in CNY we've been getting nothing but that nasty " 4 letter word" stuff and all they're calling for here is a mixed bag. I really don't like to travel but looks like I need to head up north. Just happen to be on vacation next week, hmmmmmmmmm.

I've been having such a great time skiing these last few weeks that I'd almost forgotten what great conditions were like until I hit MRG today. All sorts of fresh, untracked snow, it was crazy. Even the glades right off the main trails had like one pair of tracks coming out of them and the trails themselves were barely skied and covered with fresh snow.

Unfortunately, I was with my wife and it was only her second time up this year and she was struggling a bit with the powder. I only took three runs before I had to cut out to go to the lodging meeting. I'll be at the Bush on Friday, though, and again at MRG on Sunday.

I'm seriously thinking of calling in 'sick' tomorrow...

Take the "seriously thinking of" part out of your post and you'll have a winner!

January is now my official least favorite month.

<Rafiki hits Marc in the head with one of his yard saled skis>
Marc: Oww. Jeez... What was that for?
Rafiki: It doesn't matter, it's in the past.

YAY WINTER!!! (Apologies to Lion King)
