Some areas of fog in Bethel, ME. No precip and temp around 30.

Looks like this next event is going to treat Sunday River and Sugarloaf well compared to others in the east according to forecasts.

10:28 pm: Some rain off and on this evening in the NEK. :( Fog as well. Tomorrow will not be too nice, so I'm putting ski plans on hold. They're also calling for snow maybe tomorrow.

8:20am: Fog and 34 here in the Kingdom. Burke reports that most of their runs are closed due to NCP. :( Another day off won't hurt...still sore from the three in a row this past week. Was tempted to go up for some quick runs, but not in fog and rain.

Fog.

No Mtn.'s here, but Fog and rain last night. Seems like only Northern Me. will see snow of any import. Caribou was the only station reporting above freezing temps yesterday. It was absolutely balmy by the seashore yesterday. I can't say that I don't like being here.

Doesn't mean much for ski country, but the snowpack in our yard in NW CT took a hit yesterday. Roughly a third of it is now exposed grass. :(

fog, fog, fog and 33 near the can boarder. probably lost about half the snow in the yard, got excited late last night as some snow flakes were mixing in by it didn't materialize and I think it has been drizzling all night. haven't skied in two days so i'm not sure how jay was effected. they have a ton more snow there and probably didn't lose as much, still reporting just as much terrain open (that doesn't always mean much though). the good thing is that we should finally have a nice solid base, and a winter storm warning is in effect for later today and tonight. calling for 10"-15" by tomarrow morning with the chance of more up top. this storm could really make or break the holiday week, if we get the new snow things should be back to where they were before, if not, it could be crust city.

Welcome to the forum, Meat. Your report would be a bit more helpful if we knew where your from.

I was thinking about going up to Mount Snow for New Years weekend, but the weather forecast is calling for another storm late next week bringing more rain  :x even into central Vermont.

It looks like the cold weather will take a vacation for at least the next week across much of the U.S, at least that is the way it looks right now.
