With the addition of Telemarking, low inflation, greater media along with minimal development gave this time period the prime years of ski-bumming.

(1985) For prooof I offer Driving into the Yampa River Valley from Rabbit Ears Pass (Steamboat) One could not recognize any ski-area and looking at the Valley Their wasn't any development it was all wide open. Then when you get to the valley and drive towards town then you see Mt Werner,

(1984) Jackson Hole still had it's character (No big Box retailers) One had to fend for one-self. Every six weeks the Safeway had a special in a gallon of milk. It was always cleaned out by the time you got there. The main road through Jackson had a two-inch thick plate of snow through the Winter. I entered the Snow King Downhill with a pair 215 head ski's with Salomon 444 binders with safety straps. "Safety straps are you kidding me". Joined the race league on Snow King for night racing, College spring breakers, Mangy Moose, and Oh yeah they still had the tram

(2002) Jackson Hole Town had been ruptured. Big Box retailers in the South part of town cast the streets into Icy Shade. Luckily they kept it confined to the Southern Edge.

I'm just getting started
