Brambles was pick of the day yesterday, semi-tough a close section. Ungroomed stuff like exterminator was not bad either. Trails like cruiser and Inverness must have been groomed a bit too early, they were a bit “faster”.

On the up side, will head up today. It wasn’t a slushfest yesterday so it should not be any worse today, just a bit colder.

OK so we all know what was expected yesterday morning and it did not disapoint. lol BUT if you like to do sort quick turns there were places that were not completely horible. For instance we did Paradise. The combo of all natural snow and low traffic because the lift was shut down quite a bit during the storm made the snow less trampled and acutally edgable. No lies. Castlerock was noticibly harder but still somewaht edgable. Did anyone else try paradise?

Yeah too bad there is not some guy on Facebook who could give them weather advice, stole a trademark, and likes to talk about skiing sleet, so....
A great man once said that you don’t need a weather man to know which way the wind blows…

Any snow at sugarbush last night? K didn’t report it but there’s an inch or two on top of everything and it’s skiing quite nicely. And superstar has 50 gun salute. Ton of snow on k. Gonna be a hella spring

Ended up there around noon. Heavy winds and cold...snow was that chopped up gravel...which is far better than yesterday's ice. Lasted a few hours but the wind wore me out.
And I'm just not into icy moguls anymore...the kids live that stuff...lower Birdland was full of them!

Funny you state that- my kid said his Blazer group decided it was best run of the day ( L . Birdland)
Brambles ( lower groomed!) Walt’s/Semi = no wind, people , carvable and picks of day. Ext not terrible either.

Kids get down that stuff easily...low to the ground...and don't have 225 to haul around..
I just prefer it a little softer...they might too in 50 years... :)

Today actually turned out to be pretty good. Shockingly. couple of inches turned out to be more than dust on crust. Paradise and paradise woods were dare i say it, good. Snowed steady until noon.

I was going to wait til tmrw to chime in…but you all have inspired me.

Saturday was brutal until about 2pm, but I got 90 minutes of fun turns in during the late afternoon and over 20k of vert on the day. That’s what happens when you have to drive 5.5 hours each way. If it sux, you still go.

Today was light years better. One inch of snow helped and as much as I cursed the grooming team the day before, I have to give them props for today. Birch to Morningstar was fun. Sleeper was really enjoyable. Domino chute to Domino all the way down way really fun. I practiced my technique as best as possible. I was on the road at 12:15 but got in 15k of vert.

I never touched Castlerock and I didn’t brave heavens gate either day. Icy conditions Saturday deterred me and insane wind today kept me on the lower mountain. I saw more people on lower birdland the past two days than I think I’ve ever seen. I saw a bunch of people head into moonshine too.

All in all, not my favorite weekend, but I’m glad I went. Not sure I’m going to get back up this season. Next two weekends are out for me. I hope that I can make it back up tho.

One other thing. I wanted to say how much I appreciate all the insight and information that’s provided on this thread. It’s helped me better appreciate what Sugarbush has to offer.

How is it that they reported no snow yesterday?
It snowed until noon. I don't know if it was more or less than an inch but it definitely snowed.

Not too keen on this upcoming forecast as I’ll be up for the week starting saturday, although it looks like the weekend may have changed to snow
