yea, dr. jay at open snow also is calling for a decent snow sat>sun. saturday will be kinda shitty but sunday looks promising.

i need to ski this weekend to spite my friends. the disco biscuits are playing at the capitol theatre. i told my friends that skiing takes precedence. one of them keeps giving me shit saying 'guarantee you will be at the cap'. i want to prove his ass wrong. so don't fuckin rain please.

Yeah we’re def not skiing Saturday but we’ll be there the whole week so normally I would wait to week days to ski but Sunday looks promising so I’ll probably try and get out that day then go from there

I am not seeing any mention of the replacement of Heaven's Gate here....

Looks like snowmaking and employee housing are the goals for Sugarbush this season.

That potentially matches what I heard and posted a couple pages or so ago. No new lifts this year, but then 2 new lifts each of the following 2 years.

fwiw it says that all the lifts to be installed this summer had been previously announced. so hopefully we get an announcement before next season.

It would be odd to see GMX replaced as it is only 21 years old right now. But I know it has had a lot of issues ever since it was struck by lightning. Gatehouse could use a six pack, and the top of it could use a regrade so that it is not an uphill schlep to get to North Lynx or Slidebrook from the top of Gatehouse. Are there still plans to put a mid mid mountain lodge at the top of Gatehouse?

I got back to Sugarbush for the first time in a number of years last weekend. Even though the conditions were less than desirable it was great to be back at the Bush. Mount Ellen is neck and neck with Pico for my favorite mountain in Vermont, they are both really similar in their old school but not outdated Vermont charm. Love that they are now embracing the Glen Ellen history with the Glen Ellen sign in the lodge and was able to pick up a Glen Ellen pin in the shop.
