Rather it be 3?
I'll take 20,30...

No one was necessarily complaining about the warmup (assuming it doesn't go much higher than current forecasts...). We were merely discussing that it impacts snow-making plans and opportunities.

Personal ideal to me is around 20 for a high in the winter if you really want to know...

At gate house don't you mean Hotshot / Waterfall? but yes hot shot.
They groom Murphys, Domino shoot, lower organgrinder, jester. I am sorry but I am of the opinion that I love to ski a bumped Birdland from top to bottom.

Yes. There will be scratch underneith everywhere until we get another dump. The snow we got was light and fluffy and will not cover everything.

it looks fucking cold out there this weekend eh?

3 isn't the issue - its the north wind. but with football and predictions of cold - will keep many off slopes. Thats ok with me. Low lines last two weekends, plenty of vertical to be had. Its cold in NE in mountains in Jan - who'd have thunk?

BTW- anyone skied Slidebrook yet? Woods were good two weeks ago- last week only did Looking Good Woods ( I don't know real name of half these areas) and it was great - but I was alone so. . . . . .

I'd be wary of skiing Slidebrook, especially towards the bottom. There is a very thick, breakable crust under that super fluffy snow we just had.

I heard second hand that Slidebrook Rd was plowed down to dirt so construction trucks could go up and down it. Maybe the recent snowfall has taken care of this. Check before skiing Slidebrook to avoid a long hike out.

North Linx just started runnling last weekend. That being said, if you go let us know how it was. I already know the anwser. There is a very thin base with crust and lots of blowdowns that have not been remove or covered. People need to learn the hard way though.

snowboards float so much better than skis (just to put some gas on the fire!)

i think next year a mrg 3-pack and a ski vt4 pack are a much better use of ~$400 than the indy pass
Any one know why North ridge was out? Started at north then went south. Best snow for me was off summit north. nrx down always a bummer. Walts and allyns lodge delivered as alway.

North Ridge has had a MAJOR problem with the drive train at the base for over a decade causing the chairs to bunch up. Since Sunday it’s been getting worse (stuck on it for 25 minutes Wednesday) until they had to give up yesterday. Mt. Ellen is not nearly as good without that lift and it is disappointing the replacement of North Ridge did not happen as previously announced.
