It has been a while since I checked the Allen Lodge web cam but it is back on line
Clearly shows the upper terminal with bull wheel and cable strung

Doesn't look like the haul rope, but does look like comm lines. Nothing on the sheaves yet.

Is anyone worried about water availability to support snowmaking, the Mad river is low and appears to be below the stage when water can be deviated to snow making pond.

Good question....it has been a dry fall and the river is pretty boney...

Great pics.

Seems they are several weeks from running?

While water could be a concern, it’s the temp forecast that’s the real problem.

Looks like they still have concrete to place, it needs time to gain strength before they can tension the haul rope.

The top terminal is really exposed now, 2nd pic shows it well. I know quad chairs with slatted backs are supposed to do better in the wind, I'm pretty skeptical with how high it is now. And if those pics are from last week, then here's hoping for a Christmas opening. There's a lot left to do.

Have to agree with skepticism, that top is hardly screened from wind. Regardless of the lowered aspect of the majority of the lines, I'd think the top and its gauges are what determines lift to become wind hold. Lets hope its not the case - plenty of lift-centric folks on this forum. Of course, none of this matters if we don;'t get water and cold. Rivers are as low as I've seen in years.

Last year we had warm then a huge dump at T-giving Day. One thing we know - can't predict the weather.

Here's too cold and snowy.

It wouldn't help just getting one reading at the unload if the prevailing winds halfway down are no bueno. There are multiple gauges.

They do the wind modelling as part of the lift profile; they have access to more data than people on a forum looking at pictures.

If that is true then those pictures of no base terminal in place are very dated as that would have to be there if they are pulling haul rope on.
The bottom bullwheel was still in the parking lot Friday morning, it was not there this morning.
