Should be the same speed with a loading carpet to the triple it replaced.
I thought I remember something about the line speed being faster, but there are few chairs to keep the up hill capacity the same. I could be wrong though.

couldnt disagree more. As much as I have pined for a new NRX for years, HG needed to be replaced, is a vital lift to access the upper mountain of the main part of the resort.

Without knowing the actual downtime numbers it is hard for me to say which should have been first. Anecdotally I feel like HG has actually been more reliable recently compared to NRX. But at the time they made the decision that might not have been the case. We'll see what happens this year with how NRX runs...

either way, NRX isnt the only way to access the upper mountain like HG is at LP.

Good morning riders and skiers! The kitties have crushed the whales... Look forward to a fresh groom on the dynamic duo, of Snowball and Spring Fling. Nothin' quite like rippin' fresh cord to start the day! Come on out and relish in it! *

So I hit SB/SF first run. Like everyone else, was one and done. Big death cookies and knee (and teeth) jarring lumpy crunch the whole way down. Just no way to relax skiing that stuff. Back to GH for 6 more runs. Some expected cookies due to the warm groom but much better than the Bravo side. It will get better with more grooming and fresh snow.

* I noticed that earlier this morning, deeper in the report, the reporter referred to Mt Ellen as Miss Ellen. This has been edited to read Mt Ellen, so I guess someone higher up thought it offensive or they had second thoughts after posting "Miss".

Yup...matches my experience although I only did 2 more runs on the GH side before calling it a day.

There is still a good base up top. Maybe. It would not surprise me. Maybe not Ripchord because I bet is is kind of chew up but Organgrinder. Maybe spills with the exit back to downspout.

How are the new boots?

Went back for a slight adjustment on the left boot with one spot that was bothering me whenever I made a right turn (that was the main reason I stopped after only 2 more GH runs). We'll see how it goes tomorrow. Breaking in new boots is so much fun lol!

Hawk...saw Steve today and he worked on the adjustments for that one spot I was having an issue with.

Could be, depending on what they operated the old HG triple at. But from a typical code standpoint, double chair line speeds are allowed the highest, then triples, then quads. A carpet allows about a 50 ft/min boost which takes a quad's line speed to that of a non carpeted triple. But again, that is the standard, not necessarily how a lift is operated

You guys did better than me, one & done. I tricked myself into believing with such little terrain to groom they would have done multiple passes, stupid me.
I know it has been discussed before about how a groomer actually works & I think some said you can't really go deep with the auger, etc. Prior to moving to VT fulltime I skied at a southern resort in PA, where there would be a freeze thaw cycle every week & all I know is they would pick a few runs & take multiple passes and they would turn pure ice into 6" of sugar, sure it only lasted for a few hours & then you had ice with soft bumps, but never started out full of death cookies & solid ice, so it could be done. I'm going with pure economics.

Good Man. He actually owned in my Condo Building a while back.
I going to see him Friday. He has my new skis in and I have to pick some bindings.
I got the Marker Duke PT on the new skis. figured I'd be prepared for the occasional skin.
