Temps last night did not go under the mid 40's The cold manmade icepack glacier chiiled the surface on Spring Fling. She should have done the Mall or Lixie's where the natural snow would have been much softer. The wind up here at the condo was Ripping all night. we had gusts to like 60. as soon as the sun started coming up it chilled out.

I ski MRG yesterday until about 2 and then came back over to Lincoln peak to do a tribute run for Ken Glander a ski instructor that passed away last year. Real nice guy. I was not a close friend but really apprciated the kindness and friendliness he showed every time we talk to him. He will be missed.

Ken's daughter and our son were in the same class at GMVS. He was always soft-spoken and kind and will be missed. RIP Ken.

While we're smoking the crack pipe... I propose cutting glades everywhere in Slidebrook and putting in a 2-way surface transfer lift along the ridge from Castlerock peak across to Mt Ellen so people can just drop in wherever they feel like. At the bottom put in another surface haul-out lift (or 2 or 3 as needed). Done. 😅

His daughter and family led the ski run down the mountain. I guess she has been out west for a while. It shows as she ripped down the mountain.

They had no issues and got it off. All I know is Wayno the "Mail Man" came in 3rd in the 30 and over. Not bad for a 60+.
That's pretty amazing. Looking at the webcam just now, it looks like Castlerock Run is unskiable.
