Couldn't find a thread like this when I searched, so I started one because I just got super excited...if I missed a thread like this, mods, feel free to merge!

My goal since moving back east (from the flat midwest) has been 30 ski days. I have consistently been in the mid and upper 20s the last 4 years, but haven't hit 30s.

I crunched the numbers for this season, now that all my Western trips are booked and paid for, and came up with 37 if everything goes right.

I think I can top 40 without a problem, and 50 might be doable if I really stretch.

  • If Mt. Snow is open wknds of April 16th and 23rd, that gets me to 41.
  • If i can squeeze in a handful of after work ski days at Camelback, Blue, or Shawnee, that could get me to 44-46
  • If I push it, my flight times are early enough for 2 of my trips out west that I could potentially ski 3-4 hours in the afternoon on arrival days. This would prob be expensive, but still doable. So that gets me to, potentially, 48 days.
  • Then to get to 50, I'd need to come up with 2 days, either with Mt. Snow being open through April 30th weekend, or via May days at Kmart. If I'm stuck at 49 and the lifts have stopped spinning, I will def. take my first ever trip to Tucks to get number 50.

So let's say realistically I might get 42, and in my dreams, 50.

Here's to hoping!

Of course, all of this would require I stay healthy, I don't lose days to weather, all my travel, esp. out west, goes off without causing me to miss a day, and we have a snowy/cool spring. Fingers crossed!!! :daffy:

How many days do you guys think you'll get to this year? Realistic vs. Hope.

Probably around 17, below my target of 20. I'm at 11 and have a 4-day trip to Jackson Hole planned in late March, which will bring me to 15. I'm planning to go away at least one weekend to upstate NY or VT, so that would be 2 more. Hopefully I can make it 2 weekends and bring the total to 19. Unfortunately things keep coming up on weekends, and then April is probably going to be shot because of Passover (the first weekend) and then work (trial scheduled for week of April 26th).

Goal was 23, at least 1 more day than last year. I'm at 13. My schedule gets real tight with work in the next month, so we'll see.

I got 32 days in last season and that was a record for me. I'll be happy with anything over 30. I should hit the mid-30's this season.

My season ended early last year, so I am making no predictions to avoid jinxing myself. Happy to get what I get.

At 22 now. Should easily get over 40, with an outside chance at 50 if a) Mount Snow makes it to the end of April and b) my wife is REALLY understanding ;)

Right where I want to be
At 25 now, will be 30 after next week's NH school vaca week. March will be a busy month but should get in 5 more days. Not sure if I'll get any in April. 35 will be a record for me so I would be happy with that.

Only at 8 now, target of 20, which is about on target - maybe more - considering I'll probably take most of March off to ski in my favorite month.

I jinxed myself with this thread a little. Was going to do an after work session today, but was up all night with food poisoning, so now it looks doubtful. Ugh.

Up to 17 days so far with a goal of 40. Injury has me off skis until mid March, so I'll have to get a lot of spring skiing in this year.

i was thinking about this last night driving home. My ski days PK, (post kids) have been 5, 11 (injury shortened), 16 (injury shortened), 23 and then 29 last year. I have no shot at keeping that trend going but I'm at 12 now. Should get to 25 or so, depending on how spring is. I'm waiting for some real snow to fall before I go again.

although, I'm not counting days with the kids where i didnt get out on my own for at least 2 hours.
