Just found out that Upper Cloudspin at whiteface is open. How perfect. It's like they knew I was coming. Sweet. This got me thinking...what other trails that are rarely open or are last to open do you all get super jacked up over when they open.
For me clearly it's cloudspin at WF.

Goat at Stowe, though I won't be skiing there this season.

This year, what would get me the most excited would be the backside snowfields at Sugarloaf opening up.

Devils Fiddle at K-mart......poached it last week......knee deep in many spots....boot deep the entire way.....NICE...

these next few days of "sn*w showers" and the possibility of a storm mid next week me thinks they might even officially open the Fiddle...and HOPEFULLY run the SRT for the Pres Day Weekend...

Tramline at Cannon, Probably one of the most intense trails I've ever been on. I've only been on it once, I think 2 years ago. I loved the trail marker. Just a black diamond with a skull and crossbones on it.

The kinsman glades on cannon can be pretty intense near the top, where it is real steep.

Any Gladed run on this coast
though at Blue Sky Basin @ Vail---was there for opening day a few years back, Because they delay the opening of BSB until 10am for avy checks, the que at the lift was like a party, I even saw some guys with a 1' acrylic bong (So much for being discrete) and when they finally open the lift everyone gets real excited hootin and hollering real cool vibe + fresh pow shots all day

When I skied at Gore often, it was Rumor. Now I guess I'd say the Castlerock lift at SB. Can't really put down one trail, because generally they jump open the lift and let you enjoy, even though Rumble and Liftline might require more snow.

Exactly what I had in mind. They need at least 3 feet of snow on it. Wonder if they're opening it this year.
