My first time at this so here goes.
Dates: Feb 25 and 26, 2012
Ski Area: Bolton Valley and Magic Mountain
Conditions: Feb 25 Snowing Powder
Feb 26 Groomed Surfaces hard
Feb 25, 2012 Decided to go to Bolton Valley was snowing real heavy. 5 of us ready to go. Had the Ride and Ski New England Cards and were looking foward to the party afterwards. (Kudos to Bllski for the info on the card) Got to the access road and area rep. indicated that it was very windy and they would probably not open. Only mighty might lift running at the moment. Bummer:sad:. Decided to get some breakfast and monitor condition via smart phone. After breakfast still no go:sad:. So we decided to hit Sugarbush for half day so all was not lost. Conditions were great
. Went back to sons apartment and had dinner. Me and younger son decided we'd hit magic on the way home on the 26th.
Feb 26, 2012 Magic Mountain We left older sons apartment in Northfield at 7am. Sun shinning and looks like great day to ski. Still snow left along the roads so we figured we'll see some good snow at magic. As we got closer we realized that they didnt get the snow like northern vermont, bummer again. We rolled in to parking lot about 9:15 and hit the lift at 9:30. All in all conditions not bad the did get a little bit of new snow. For the way this season is going (lack of snow) conditions were not bad. We had lots of runs on all the trails that were open and even managed to find some courderoy (all be it little hard) but good. All the trails skied rather well but as day wore on there was some icy spots. It was a great day.

Sugarbush - 1 and 1/2 day
Catamont - 6 nights (ski club)
Windham -1 day
Plan on going to Bolton Valley 3/1
