Looks no more dangerous than the hay ride I went on last weekend with my kids...

The truck ride was one of the highlights of the day.

I hated more that they changed early season terrain from upper cascade to rime and the other stuff over there.

Wow, that is really mild. I thought it was the back of a pick up truck or something. That is not much worse than some of the truck rides from the overflow lots of many larger ski areas. Having seen video of this experience that I never got to partake in, I think Killington is pretty lame for doing away with this early opening option. They don't need a new mid-mountain surface lift to the summit to make early season possible, they just need to bring back the trucks.

The decision to go top to bottom only was an ASC decision as I recall. If Powdr is serious about making K the Beast of the East again, I think I won't believe it unless they bring back the trucks and open early. That is certainly better than up/down loading at Sunday River for T2. K can do better even with trucks.

Maybe if they paved the work road in this section it would be considered safe. Lot cheaper that the HS lift designs.

No worse then some of the bus rides to satelite parking lots. They could do that easily. Way lame not doing it.

Imagine how kick ass it would be to have your mtb trucked up with you and your ski stuff, then have your ski gear shuttled down and ride your mtb down at the end of the day?

That was cool. Looks like a few guys had some of those fancy new "parabolic" skis.
