Odd how little publicity that issue has seen...
I read about it on FB's "Ski the Northeast" group. Someone posted a screenshot from Stowe's page saying that FourRunner was closed. Another person said that they were on it Friday when it abruptly stopped and had to be evacuated "due to a fire."

Additionally, AZ was very quiet this weekend......

WMUR News 9 ski report just now. They list a few resorts in each of the northern NE states with each in the 30-80 or so trails open range. Then comes Wildcat, with 3. What an embarrassment. There is no excuse. Sidenote, Attitash was really fun today. The total lack of grooming almost anything, anytime really pays off on a warm spring day.

I just looked at the wildcat list of trails open, holy shit they might not even make it to April this year.

What’s this I hear about FourRunner at Stowe catching fire last week and being closed ever since?

Stowe finally put at least a little bit more info in their snow report:

We sent the motor out for repair and received an estimated return delivery date of Sunday at the earliest. Thank you for your patience.

Screenshot_20250321-120843.pngToday's Attitash report shows nothing groomed for today. Summit quad closed. That surface surely will provide the experience of a lifetime after last night's freeze. The report states "that's just the way it goes". Seriously. I guess the one groomer is over at the Cat as their trail count is up from three.
