Some of the scanners can tell the height of an individual and will trigger if someone is too tall for a kid pass.

Last week the 3 of us (me, wife, kid) went through Red Pine Gondola at the same time. The scanner confused the sounds and though my 5'5" wife was the one making the "Scooby Doo running" sound and pulled her out (it was actually my 5 year olds pass making that correct sound). Like I said, they literally get paid extra for every person they catch.

How is Brekenridge skiing? Hitting Beaver's closing day tomorrow as we arrived in Avon tonight, then I think Vail Monday, then rest of week we're staying in Breck.

Kind of shocked how much less snow there is here in Colorado then there is currently in Park City, so a bit worried. LOL
Breck is skiing great. Tore off a binding just before lunch, so that's a bit of a pain. Nothing out of the ordinary for me though. Got my wife's skis to use for the rest of the day.

We went to Beaver Creek yesterday, had a great time.

I'll send my number in a dm in case you want to take some runs. We're here all week but doing some vail and abasin too.

In case Epics need a 3rd home ( or sell at top to fund this). Maybe some good AirBnb's if they don't limit rentals. Guess if you're spending $7M you don;'t need to rent it out tho.
When I visited last year, there were cranes everywhere. The hotel I stayed in was brand new and had stacks of these thick, bound “books” advertising the future of Andermatt on every table you saw. Printed in a few languages. The town is super sleepy with a very short, narrow and basic commercial zone. It’s a bit quaint but not really. That’s what’s going to be missing for people who have visited other posh EU villages. Now if it’s shifting towards Americans, they likely haven’t seen as much of that type of EU ski village as locals have so maybe they won’t care. There’s enough room for the high end stores like they have in Zermatt and Crans, to move in but they can’t “build” the village character.

Well, it’s not great, no real growth going on, but overall the ship is sailing along. Skier visits down 3% year over year, 25/26 Pass sales are slightly down, they mention the tariffs and such being a possible cause. Revenue coming in on the low end of their March estimates.

Wish SR Well, I miss that place.
Hiking, Skiing, Vortex with my Dog, Diesel well into May. You know me & my Dog.
Nobody said anything, 4x4 right to bottom of Vortex. Employees would wave as I sat there drinking a beer and tossing snowballs for Diesel to chase from the Top.
Great Memories of SR
Hiking over to White Heat was also a favorite
In late days.
Be well Friends, so many Days together, here & there. :)

What does this have to do with Vail?
