This really makes me sad. Completely unnecessary.

I think I'm going to change the tee-shirt from "VAIL SUCKS", to "VAIL RUINS EVERYTHING".

There are so many lifts at PCMR that desperately need replacing with an average age of 25 years & frequent stoppages, that this is almost the last place several million needed to be spent. Not to mention it actually runs. And it was a beloved & unique lift considered part of the PC experience.
It's Real Estate $$ driving that lift change out I'm pretty sure.

IMHO - it's nowhere near the same experience. Cabrio at PCMR was fun and real and even evoked a sense of flying. Cabrio at Tremblant somehow feels as contrived and fake as does much of the village.

its actually surprising to me that tremblant even provides the option of allowing you to aerially bypass the money-sucking village's several money sucks between your car and the lifts.

100%. Because the new multi-million dollar gondola will stop in the middle as a mid-station for pickup, which will make the real estate much more attractive.

Nevermind the fact there are myriad lifts actually used for skiing, which stop and start constantly.

They never run at a constant speed.
