Here's a couple of short clips of Trailboss and Me at Loon on 4/10 this year. Not the best quality, but it takes me back.. ;) I hope Trailboss doesn't mind...

i just snapped up a digital camcorder for the purpose of making some skiing videos, so look for some short 3-4 min clips next year!

Nice, if you don't mind me asking, what did you get and how much was it? I've been thinking of a small camcorder mostly for skiing vids...

panasonic gs15, last year's model. snapped it up new in box for 250 which is about half the model originally went for i believe. it has 24 optical zoom which was actually a little more than i required as i get too shaky around 20x. i tried out a panasonic in the store and thought their digital stabalization worked well, i just hope it's the same with this model o

unfortunately, i think the trend with the camcorder industry is providing junkier models for higher prices even as technology gets better, lol. they have so many stupid crappy features like digital zoom, and night alive stuff that doesn't work, and anything pushing 20x is just not needed with digital stabalization cause it's just too shakey. anything in the inrto range up to $600 isn't gonna have great low light or professional level quality video, so why bother trying to fake it? just give people good bare bones cameras with the key features they need i say. then again, they probably wouldn't make as much money if people were not suckered into buying stuff because it has 800x digital zoom

This July 1st video posted on TGR really lifted my summer spirits..

http://fritzrips.com/Sand.wmv

Makes me want to go for a run.. I've gotta lose about 100 lbs before I can skin up a mountain like that so easily.

Speedwork today. At Mahwah high school's track. If you see a fat guy sprinting the straights and jogging the curves, that's me. :)

By "fat" I mean 6'6" 325 lbs.

I wrestled from Freshman to Junior, but a jaw operation in the summer between Soph and Junior sidelined me that year - and I ended up quitting halfway through. I played football my senior year as an offensive lineman, but since I didn't have three years of experience under my belt other seniors who weren't as big as me were first string. It's probably a good thing; I could feel myself getting stupider the more I hung out with the football players. That's harsh, but it's a sad reality.

I played rugby for about two years when I moved to New York, but time commitments kept me from that. I would like to rejoin, but I want to lose weight first because unlike football, there's really no position in rugby that an obese person can play well. I was a lock because of my height, but was slow and "un-nimble" because of my weight.

if you go to one of the many Lynn public schools, that generalization applies to much more than your football players.... :)

Here's a vid of me in the bumps of Rumrunner at Loon. Ignore the cheezy air at the end...
