Rt 2 was just closed in Lancaster and West Side Rd in Conway is totally flooded out

A lot of the area around Ludlow got another inch or two of rain tonight. More to the east and less so in the mountains, at least, but still not ideal when they need a few dry days. Heavier storms down near Wilmington and Bennington now.

Not defending Massholes but I think some of the blame has to go on the company that rented them the canoes with water that high
They are all renting
As far as the Masshole thing,... I did not read any info on where they were from. Personally, I would put a bigger blame on the company that rented the canoes to a group of inexperienced people when the river was flowing so strong.

Trust me they were all from MA....
They actually spent almost 2 hours stranded & clinging to debris in a very isolated stretch of the river before we could get to them.

Already have flash flood watches popping up on my phone for my condo location in Southern VT for Friday afternoon for the potential for 1-3+" of rain in the predicted thunderstorms likely to roll across the region then :oops:

Let's hope that any storms that form and cross the region on Friday under perform!
