Is it base building or just blowing out the mice??
Mice, I'm sure. Jiminy did a test on the 25th:
i actually have a lot of respect for kmart for not blowing out the mice like all these other areas. kmart is showing admirable restraint and not wasting resources on a stupid photo op, especially when everyone know they are no longer first to open or beat the field. if any ski areas were going to give a legit attempt at base building, they are a week too late. this past week, any area could have blown during the night and many during parts of the day. during the past 24 hours, the weather has gone from favorable to down right unfriendly and any snow blown in the past 24 hours is surely going to wash out or melt. i am sure next week we will see an honest effort. but let's be realistic, there is no real reason to blow out the mice other than a photo op, and for that i respect kmart for not doing it again this year. they are almost thumbing their noses at the other areas saying "you can do your photo op, we are still going to open top to bottom with a better quality product they any one else." and they will. But it's still to warm to fire them up at Killington. cough
