Marketing dropped the ball on this one.
I don't care what resort you are, if you have snow in September for an event you do a press release, get media there, post content on your website and put the hype machine into overdrive. It is free advertising and with a pass deadline coming up they must be losing their damn minds.

Couldn't agree more, I couldn't believe that I didn't hear anything about this until it was happening...

Yeah, I didn't think I was that crazy. I mean, I know it is using the hype machine to your advantage but it just seems foolish to not exploit it as good PR, or as a gentle reminder for people to renew their century passes.

Wasn't sure if I was going too overboard... I did happen to work for a resort that was big on ideas like this ;-)

Still there, 2 days later. That'll make a decent base if they get into an early opening. :p

Sky, who did you e-mail, Jeff Crowley, Tom Meyers or Shannon Christa?

Yeah, I was in Worcester this weekend. Had I known there was snow there I would have been skiing on it. Not to mention shooting a zillion images , video and 360 for my own personal websites.

Wachusett frustrates me sometimes, ugh.

They did adverise it, partially.

"Returning to kids fest is out man-made snow slide! Come play in the snow in September!"

However, most of us took it as they were talking about snow tubing which threw us off.

Poor copy, perhaps.

I first launched to JC, then to Dianne Drury...she forwarded me on to TM.

I departed work @ 4:30 today...chiro appt...jocked my back @ hoops. One "lunge" by the chiro and I bounced off the table. I think I'm better.

Anyway, I hope to have a response when I get in tomorrow. Can't check e-mail from home anymore. It's a good and bad thing. We'll talk later.
