Monday 8:45 PM Update:

Snowmaking assult has been ongoing for about 2 hours now. Guns are running on Conifer and Ollie's. The snow at the base of Conifer isn't sticking yet, but there should already be a decent base at the top due to last night's snowmaking. The snow is sticking very well on Ollie's. Still crossing my fingers that everything goes perfect and hoping they can still make Friday.

You serious -- tomorrow? I'm probably going to hit it Thursday morning on my way to Thanksgiving Dinner on Sunday, with my rock skis, if they keep going and there's something to slide on.

Yes, it is my only day I can get my season pass before next week, and I really don't want to wait in line to get my picture taken once they open. They started making snow at about 7 pm today and will probably go until about 7 am tomorrow. So with 12 hours there should be atleast something to ski on, right? Hopefully.

Snowmakers are back on for Conifer, Ollies, and even a bit of Indian Summer. There's still some hope for Friday, but the nor'easter is going to make the decision. If it dumps all kinds of rain that far north and west, Friday is definitely a no-go. If it doesn't rain much, there's a chance.

Today was freakin' epic.

I skinned up about 600 vertical ft. up conifer. About 30% of the skinning was on bare grass, 60% on an inch of ice, and a whopping 10% on snow. I got about a 100 ft. of skiing right above the autoroad, like I said, it was epic. The snow was so nice and soft that I couldn't even see my tracks.

Nice! There might be some hope for Thanksgiving morning. Time to break out the rock skis.

So Austin...where did you score that 600' of vert...above or below the road?

Congrats.

600 ft. of vertical skinned. Only about 100 ft. skied. Seriously, it was by far the worst skiing I have ever done in my life. It was pretty much a sheet of ice with frozen grass sticking out.

Friday is officially dead. :(

Long range forecasts show a huge cooldown at the end of next week and we should see an opening around Saturday 12/2.

This is depressing...Mother Nature owes us an epic season after all of this. :x

OK... we already know that Conifer, Indian Summer, and Ollie's open tomorrow. They're freshing those up a little bit tonight, but snowmaking operations have now begun on Challenger and Look Mom.
