In general, though, Jiminy gets really crowded and scraped on weekends.

I'd be happy to give anyone a Jiminy tour...
I will take you up on that. :D

I would love to join you both for that. Any chance you guys can get out there on a week day? Remember, I'm retired so I avoid weekends like the plague!

Even when the center of those black diamonds get scraped off, the snow ends up on the edges. It's lots of fun "dancing" around on those powdery edges!

I smell the makings of an AZ outing! I've been meaning to get up to Jiminy myself.. :)

OK. I'm in Smithtown, where on LI or in NYC do other interested AZ'rs live? A day-trip or overnighter (with an appropriatly festive evening) might be fun. Jiminy has some very attractive mid-week ski/lodging packages and some pretty nice slope-side lodging to offer.

A little to early for me to plan but keep your eyes on the Trips&Events forum this fall. Hope to have alot of trips going.

Jiminy is a day trip for me - about a 1:45 drive. An early season Friday works for me.

I think it's about the same time/distance for me. I'm in for a group gathering too.

I have to go with Jiminy Peak. I do like the place as a 4 season destination.

Thanks to a link on this site regarding the "Berkshires biggest garage sale" a while back, which I carted stuff up to sell, I have been back four times and have stayed overnight 3 times at the Country Inn on the property. I love the mountain biking, even though I am there midweek and only the Grand Slam (Grand Slow) lift is running, the trails in the woods are very challenging.

I have skied there a few times during the past couple of seasons.
