I noticed this phrase use in Wins Word on the SB site. I've seen him and others use a variation of it on forum posts too. An hour? What does he mean exactly? ;)

Well, one hour can be the major different in the middle of the winter between POWDR, and *NO* POWDR..

I think he means you can drive an hour further up the road and be buried in snow when you have a bluebird day at the bush. OK may be 1 and 20 minutes

An hour

I'm guessing he means just an extra hour north of Killington if you're on 100. I've driven it a couple of times and it's right around 50-60 minutes past the K access road; probably the same if you're driving up 89 from points south.

John Egan also used it in an e-mail I got a few hours ago. The text is below.

Hello-

My name is John Egan and I run the Adventure Learning Center up at Sugarbush Resort in Warren, VT. An email landed on my desk last week that expressed a lot of discontent many of you were voicing with Killington's price increases in a number of the resort's programs. I know a lot of you are probably loyal, longtime Killington families who have fallen in love with that hill; there is certainly a lot going on down there. But I wanted to take this moment to invite you to check-out some of Sugarbush's programs. Over the years we have strived to maintain the prices of our programs while at the same time increasing the quality of our instruction. We actually just hired Ed Robicheau to be the Director of our Ski and Ride programs. Many of you may remember Ed from his 20-plus years with Killington's ski and ride school. But aside from those differences, I think the biggest takeaway you'll realize after a trip up to Sugarbush will be, "What a difference only an hour makes."

Thanks for your time and please feel free to check-out the below links to some of Sugarbush's on-hill programs.

Who is John Egan http://www.sugarbush.com/skiandride/cm.asp?pn=meetthepros&pid=139&nid=71

Cheers,
John Egan

You missed the sarcasm in my post... ;)

Greg's sarcasm can be very subtle at times so you shouldn't feel bad that you didn't recognize it right off... ;-)

Indeed. Next time I'll use this:
