just skiing a bunch of days and starting the tuesday night race clinic - chose to ski another day a week instead of geezer league ice hockey - we'll see if i'm glad about the decision or not come february... I was was much more enthused about this season at the end of last season than i am now:

- my oldest (16) tore her acl in sep. and just had surgery last wednesday so she won't be boarding this year. we were planning on having a lot of fun progressing in the park again

- we were supposed to be in our greek peak time share over the holidays and throughout the season, but that not happening due to hope lakes' financing/construction delays

- finances will put the trip out west on hold for another year

oh well just gotta roll with it, count the blessing that we have - its all good when the snow starts blowing!

If you live in Seattle and have never skied PNW than I am truly jealous for you. I'll be skiing your leftovers.

Having an injury free season, skiing with all the friends that we have made in the past few years, improving my handicap on the race course, skiing a s%#tload of days this year, challenging myself more in the moguls and trees, maybe some hiking for turns in the spring.

enjoying my first season as an eastern believer (I was pretty skeptical moving out here last year)

knowing more people in the city to ski with (and split transportation costs)

that freak late-october, season-starting snow storm just around the corner...

- Try Sugarbush for the first time
- Hit MRG with good snow.
- If snow cooperates, try Magic and/or Ashcuney
- Hit Plattekill a few times after good snow.
- Sneak in a few mid-week days.
- Jackson Hole
- Big Sky
- Earn my turns in Tuck after all the northeast lifts close in spring

All in all, make the best of EACH day of skiing.

The thing I'm looking forward to the most is skiing, duh!

Others include:
  • Skiing with my wife
  • Hopefully getting my daughter to do some more skiing
  • Kicking Greg's ass in the Sundown bump comps
  • Getting up to Magic and MRG in good snow conditions
  • Getting back up to Sugarbush again
  • Continuing to improve in the sport

I forgot to add that I'm also looking forward to seeing my wife hopefully stop having boot issues and be able to progress in her skiing ability more. :spread:
