My favorites at the River have to be: Quantum Leap and Airglow. It's a tie.. They both offer steeps, bumps, cruisers..all weather dependent.

My favorite trail right now at Killington is an unmarked tree run so I cannot name it. A favorite trail is Royal Flush after a big dump like the one we had last week.

Yeah baby! Two superfantastic runs. Valhalla and BP/BBP are up there too. Best at J for me is P**P**U*E! A poorly kept secret but still an adventure!
Wildcat has T-Brook and just about anything over on Mittersill from Cannon.
I know that this is supposed to be "home" mountain but dont people have more than one house? Jay the 'Cat and Cannon are my homes.

Marked Trails?

Goat at Stowe

There's just something about the nasty steep and narrow double fall line at the top, to the mid section with bountiful glade opportunities on either side of the trail to the run out at the bottom where the bumps are just a series of 10 foot boulders encapsulated in snow for one to leap from one to another.

After 23 years skiing in the north east - nothing beats goat on a good day.

Best marked run in the East IMHO

I don't really have a home mountain but two places I ski fairly often would be Upper & Lower FIS at Sugarbush (despite the slog back to the base) and Goniff Glade at Magic.

Me and my wife love that run as well. But you're right the slog back to the base sux big time! I always say it's the uphill part of the run that makes this a black diamond trail.

Ripsaw is a solid choice when the snow is right but I'm gonna have to go with the glades up by Bubblecuffer, Gondi Line, and Winter's Way (anyone know their names?). I ski them all the time but they always change the names. I think one of them used to be called Max Headroom.

Whiteface - Upper Cloudspin. Until that's skiable, probably Essex or the Mackenzie glades. Or upper Mackenzie. what do you say HPD?

I'm not HPD, but I'd probably go with Mackenzie as my favorite easy-to-open trail. Overall (excluding the Slides), Empire might be my favorite though perhaps because I only got to ski it once :)

I purposely left out the Slides. They're not open enough. And I thought about Empire (any trail that's too steep and narrow to groom is worthy) but left it out for the same reason. Rumour has it that it may have opened once or twice last year but never when I was there (which was 40+ times). Was it poached? Perhaps. Northway's another good one that doesn't get opened enough. Was that poached last year? A line tight skier's left? Hmmmmmm....
