I really can't answer this question. In a way I consider the very first day of the year on snow the most glorious but as far as deep pow I have no idea.

It was 4/18 at Sugarbush....until 4/19 at Stowe.

The final day always seems to be the best day.

Simple...

12/15/2008 - The day I demo'd the new Salomon's up at Loon Mountain, that I ended up buying later in the season. It was simply the best day of skiing I ever had on the Tornadoes. One day later I was flying out to Israel for 2 weeks :) What an inspirational and exciting time it was!

Undoubtedly because I was there for both of them. Thanks for the kind words.

5/10 @ A-basin :D

Beat you! I did 5/26 @ A-basin!

So many good days this season it is hard to choose. I had 1 amazing day at Squaw this season, skied Mt Baldy in LA and swam in the ocean in the same day, I had 4 days at MT Baker (nuff sed), skied the Sella Ronda in Cortina, had my 1st ever visit to MRG. Too many good days to choose just 1!

I would have to say Sat. March 1 at Magic. MRG on 2/8 was a close second with Magic on 2/28 coming in third place. The amount of fresh powder (12" +) on Sat 3/1 was so sick after receiving nearly as much 2 days before on 2/28 made for the best day for me. Over 2 feet of new snow in 48 hours at a mountain designed for great powder days. It doesn't get much better than that for me in the East.

Magic beat out MRG also because I had my new pow skis for 3/1 while I was only on midfats on 2/8. On sick powder days, having fatties makes a big difference in the amount of fun. Your results may vary but that's my opinion.

Agreed

I still am holding onto my 184cm Rossi Axiomes circa 1996 that are probably about 130mm underfoot. I only take em out in snow deeper than 8", but when I do, they're a freakin' blast.

what about an icicle beard? would that change your mind?

hands down march 21 at sugarbush. wife was having a blast and it got her pumped for next season. had a great time skiing with 2knees. that run we took over to meet up with the group at 10ish was by far the deepest snow i've ever skied. it was also the best i've skied all season. a slight bummer was seeing 2knees take a dive in that well. ;-)

Same day as every year. March 14th

Or were you talking about skiing?

Typically I'm not one who requires any acknowledgment, especially on an internet forum, but I'm a tad surprised this one went over everyone's head but a woman's.

Boys, skiing rules and all, but there is more to life, especially this glorious holiday.
