Except of course Sundown

i dont think anyone of the sundown regulars has ever proclaimed to be a great bump skier. If anything, the level of self depreciating humor regarding our skills is quite prominent.

which is why i dont get all the sundown cracks and seeded bump hating. We laugh at ourselves. Its not like any of us are pulling highwaystars and proclaiming to be the worlds greatest bumpers.

I know you were probably joking and all, but it seems like sundown hate is all over the place now.

Really? The bumped trails at my home mountain always have traffic on them. Many times when they ice up due to what ever reason they freshen them up with a coating of good dry manmade snow. Doesn't seem that labor intensive to me, costly maybe but not labor intensive.

I'm hopeing we are a segment of the skiing/riding population that the resorts won't ignore. I think theres room at most mountains to cater to everyone. Camelback has 33 trails, about 5 have been taken for the terrain park, 1 for racing. 2 or 2 1/2 trails for moguls (one is wide enough for moguls and groomed) leave 25 groomers or approximately 75% of the mountain. From my perspective that fits in nicely with the percentage of people who enjoy moguls.

Fair enough. Sloppy wording on my part. How 'bout labor and capital semi-intensive as compared to waiting for a weather change and a crew of strong skiers to make short swing turns all the way down a trail for the better part of a day. (sloppy and wordy)

My point was (and I'm sure everyone here knows and has likely had this discussion before) that good mogul lines rarely happen by chance anymore. It takes a commitment from mountain ops that was not required 2 decades ago.

How about MogulKing? Bart would own your sorry ass.

The other interesting part of Bart and his skiing ability is that he is blind in one eye. He has no two dimensional vision. Imagine trying to judge a mogul field as a flat screen.

Opps, I said that wrong. He does not have THREE dimensional vision. He has two dimensional vision.

I think my best bump day last year was ripping Gunny with 2knees, ishovelsnow and MogulQueen:

That was two days after that epic ripper Sunday that I missed. Just goes to show that a lot of good skiers do in fact have an impact on improving the lines.

Wow. I never knew that. That just validates his ripper status even more...

No kidding.

And I was wondering how you pulled it off with bad vision. BTW, did you get contacts yet, you wuss? WoodCore just got them for MTB and he loves them. He was equally squirmish about it, but seems happy with the decision.

Ha! This is true. But remember, I was seeded higher than that chick in the March comp. Until the dude with one bad eye owned me...
