OK, I have a Universal Ski Card to use by the end of the season and I've tapped Saturday as the day...assuming that the weather cooperates. I like a good variety of terrain...some steeper stuff prefferred. This time of year I want some good bumps and maybe some trees. The catch is I'm going to be in Worcester, MA (Ms Trailboss has a baby shower...lucky me... ). Your vote? I've listed the resorts that accept my card.

Where to ski?

Mt. Snow will likely have good coverage on the Northface, and there will be at least one trail with bumps there. Oh yes, you could always do Ripcord after the snow softens.

is the ski card good at magic? seems like you're looking at southern new england and magic has the best bumps and trees in southern new england. i have never been to mount snow (or many of the other areas you listed), but from what people say i think mount snow would be your best bet for a slice of bumps and trees.

Guess I evened things up for the *Other*....
A 2-step plan Boss:
1) Put the card out w/note for Ms. Trailboss to see and use!
2) Hop on the earliest flight to ..? would it be Chicago?...and then to Whistler/Blackcomb! 8)
- Guess you'd have some explaining to do later on though...

I second the vote for Magic if they take your card! :D

Yes, I believe that Magic is on the card...but I'm watching the weather here and keeping my fingers crossed because our little hill has said that they are going to try and reopen for this weekend! So, we'll be there on Sunday but I'm thinking of maybe staying closer to Worcester on Saturday...hear me out...I'm going to be driving clear to Vermont Law for their open house on Friday (oy) and then back to Worcester, so a part of me doesn't want to drive to the end of the earth on Saturday

Weather is definately going to play a factor. The conditions were great at Magic on Friday, but with the NCP and warm weather this week the coverage may not be too good... :(

Magic is closed for the season, according to their website. Too bad, I was planning on going up tomorrow. Guess it's Okemo or the big K.....maybe loon .... I dunno. Definately M.Snow Friday and Saturday, though.

Yeah, I guess so! The natural trails were looking pretty thin when we were there, so the rain probably killed them. I'm really glad we made the trip for Easter weekend instead of this coming weekend!!

look at that ... just seconds apart bv!

Great minds think alike I guess... or something like that ;)

If you're looking for bumps, I'd say Mount Snow, but Okemo had some nice bump trails when I was there. Then again, I like the smaller, easier bumps.

If you don't want to drive far, Wawa is right up the street.

Reggaefest. This Weekend. Need I Say More?

Live reggae music, island-themed food, and hilarious contests
will all be a part of Mount Snow’s 9th Annual Budweiser Spring
Reggae Festival. The music begins Friday, April 1, at the Snow
Barn with scheduled performances by Trumystic, and Mikey Dread.
Both acts return on Saturday for an outdoor concert on Cuzzins’
Deck beginning at noon where there will be a beer garden and
authentic island fare. After the sun goes down the party
continues at the Snow Barn with more live reggae headlined by
John Brown’s Body. On Sunday, April 3, Mystic Vibe will jam out
on Cuzzins’ Deck.

I was there last year...bluebird and 70's...hope the weather holds out for them this year..I'll wave on my way past Sunday night...
