Still hard to decide...was thinking Ragged but the ticket prices are getting close to $60 (still below walk-up rate). Pico is about the same price but it's somewhat further away. Also wondering about Dartmouth...it's smaller and farther away but would be much less crowded.

As much as I'd like to make the annual trip to Magic I don't want to spend all kinds of time in a line for the Red Chair.

I'd consider Dartmouth. Especially now with both Holts and Winslow open 100%.
Some really nice cruising terrain on Winslow and their lodge is very nice. Really cool seeing all the Olympians and ski racing heritage to come through Dartmouth in a little alcove they have dedicated to that.
Can't imagine lines would be too bad next week....it's more of a locals spot and NH is off the following week.
If you go put up a TR because I'll be there a week from this Saturday.

An alternative suggestion is Whaleback. Open 9-4 Monday and they have a coupon on their site for $30 all day.
They are 100% open and offer nice variety for every level of skier. Again, doubt there would be much in the way of lines and very easy access off the highway.

Thanks for pointing that one out, didn't realize they had the coupon...

We went last year and really enjoyed it. The lines did build up a bit through the day but the lift ride is relatively short, and the place skis much bigger than it is.

Right where I want to be
Opted not to go to Magic. Kids have a 2hr delay today and then had to be back by 4:30 to get one to a sport thing. Arrrgghh. Now going to the home hill - Pats with the wife. We both have the holiday off but kids have school. Then going with the kids on Saturday to Magic. Need to be flexible when ya have kids.

At Whaleback...nice conditions but very cold. There are some kids here for a camp day but otherwise it's empty
