Hey, be nice! He probably can't find his way back here. He's probably looking for you over on First Tracks On Line or something!

They've probably just got him locked down in the reactor scrubbing the cooling towers or something.

Thanks but it is not going to happen or work. We were put to the test today .. failure.
The hiking situation could have become serious, thunderstorms moving in and we are near the top of a mountain, we had to to pick up the pace and get off the peak and she just quit .. her feet hurt but so did mine. I carried her pack on top of mine over 50 pounds total .. hoping she would speed up she had to stop and rest every 50 yards for 5 minutes.. she just plain quit in a critical situation.. I finally was able to get her going again we were on trail for over 5 hours .. it was miserable waiting all the time for her to catch up .. I told her the only way out was to walk no matter how much it hurt..at the end of the day a quick kiss on the cheek I think that says it all.. I think it was a good test to see how well we could work together in a very difficult situation.. we couldn't and I was becoming increasly pissed at her .. I see now I am a lone wolf and I pretty much like it that way.. If I ever do this again somebody please shoot me..

Man, you've got to ease them into that kind of thing.

She claimed to love hiking and did it all the time and she even picked the trail ...

Doh! Maybe she was trying to impress you? Guess she got in over her head.

I guess I know where you're coming from. Took my wife up to the Whites when we were still dating. I picked a trail that was a little tougher than I thought. Basically a 2000 ft staircase. :-D Anyway she kept up the whole way without complaining and I actually a turned us around near the top because the weather turned bad (drizzly, windy and in the 40's). She told me much later that she was really suffering on the hike, but there was no way she was going to go wimpy on me. That made her a keeper.
