Whiteface Summit Grading

I kinda like it when he posts his anti-WF stuff. I like a little verbal sparring, plus it seems alot more people here are interested in trying WF, which I like.

I'm certainly gonna check it out this season, at least for a 3 day weekend with my family.

Who cares what other folks think, the pics I see indicate it's a kick-ass place to ski.

Lake Placide is a very romantic place....be careful, I think my first son was conceived there...Alpine hill or something B7B outside of town...Old German lady..good food...hmmmm....sauerbraten

Northwoods is a nice place, right on Main St., nightlife right there or either direction walking distance. :beer:

"You want the summit open earlier? OK. We'll do it. That's why we spent part of the summer grading the top of Whiteface to make it smoother. We're also installing permanent snow guns up there. Now when it's cold on top, we can mobilize quicker and roll out the white carpet for you."

It also went on to say:

"Snowmaking countdown to November 1, weather-permitting."

The season is fast approaching.

46er, I couldn't find it on RSN, could you put on a link. Is it saying they're going to start blowing from the summit and download people? I'd be all for that, but I hadn't heard it mentioned.

I don't believe so. I assume the Cloudsplitter will be in operation with skiing off of Little WF. It would be nice if the summit was open from the start!
