But this year was a little tight financially, so we didn't. I do like how it makes sure we'll be skiing.

IMHO the cheapest way to ski is through a season pass given the current trend in day ticket prices.

I renewed my ASC Bronze pass this week. For me it is a "no brainer" since the break even point against any other sort of "advance purchase" deal (like E tickets) is about 6 days and I will do more then that at Snow and Killington alone. It is great to be able to not have to think about getting to the mountain at lift opening time and feel like I am "wasting skiing time" if I start late due to travel or other delays. I also like the total convenience of just slipping on the pass and hitting the lifts.
I like skiing a half day early season cause it gets skied off, with the pass I never have to care how long I go. I use the pass to fill in When I'm not at Loon. If money is the issue.. hard to argue the ASC pass unless you can ski Mid week alot.IMO

Pass Prices

All you guys get your exciting passes for all over..*jealous*

I will go back to Wachusett for a Century Pass (this will be my 6th year I think). The price has been stable @ $189 for three years (at least the last two) and I heard from insiders that the price will probably stay stagnant...but the purchase date may move up (from the current October deadline to "summer"? with slight increases as the season approaches).

It's a great deal. The C-Pass allows 7 nights per week front to back....and weekday skiing on non-holiday/non-vaca dates. You get a discount on blackout dates...and 50% off @ other mountains participating in the "Mountains of Distinction" program...Okemo, Sunapee, Sugarbush, Windham (NY) and others. The 50% discount is available for when your pass is valid (i.e., midweek non-,non-).

It keeps me on snow.

Yes, the century pass is a good deal IMHO considering that most nights they regroom the terrain before nightskiing.

Good...I'm not the only sick puppy who uses a spreadsheet to determine if a pass is worthwhile (no insult intended, ga2ski).

I am trying to decide if purchasing a bronze ASC pass is worth the money for me. Having skied at ASC resorts for 9 (soon to be 11) out of 25 days this year, it looks reasonable. If I do buy the pass, it will mean alot of skiing at Mount Snow/Killington and less skiing in NY, CT, and MA.

I will probably purchase the pass at Killington on saturday. 8) We are considering getting my son the 5 and younger all america pass.

Warren (my son) is free, but according to the ASC pass information he gets two free season tickets good for friends and family and discounts on lessons. It's a 50 - 50% value for him.

I'm toying with the ASC season pass. My only reservation that I will have to register for a class very soon. I wish they (ASC) had a payment plan.

Ye old credit card. None of the ASC ski mountains are my primary ski locations,( possible exception Sunday River) but I do get variety now at a cheap price. I increased my days out pretty much cause I could go early and late season and not pay for tickets that I felt were to much money for the little skiing that was offered..

I feel the same way, ASC resorts are not my primary destinations of choice with the exception of Sugarloaf. At Sugarloaf it seems to be cheaper to purchase a ski vacation with lift tickets than without them. If I do buy the pass, most of my skiing next season would be at Mount Snow, since it is not much further than Berkshire East for us.
