i think i'd like to strike the phrase "blow the mice out" from skiers vocab. i am getting sick of seeing it. not to mention the area it is atributed to creating the saying. any body with me on this one? :D

Who takes credit for this phrase? K-mart?

well Its partially true in some cases.. although I think snowmaking pipes are closed systems. I know that when I was taking tennis lessons one summer (when I was 10) The instructor took out the ball launching machine out of the shed for the first time that season. When she turned it on, it blew out some fuzz, then 2 mice! so it can happen!:) anyway.. I like the term, mainly because i've seen it happen before!

It happens all the time. If you search enough, there are alot of weird articles where newspapers will report ski areas making snow and have something about mice in the pipes and hoses.

I have blown many bugs from my machines (smaller hole). Including a ladybug, ants, and a bee.
