As someone that grew up in NJ just outside NYC...that is definitely 100% a NYC metro accent.

I stand corrected they all sound the same to this western PA born guy

I have never heard anyone say a Boston and NYC accent sound similar.

NYC and Philly I have.

Then again, I think all southern accents sound the same and maybe someone in Atlanta thinks someone from Houston sounds completely different from them.
