Thats because two inches of freakin' sleet is an awesome base. I hate New England.

Nevermind. I meant to say 2-3 inches of sleet followed by freezing then cold weather = the most solid base ever.

Today was actually sort of fun. The groomers were okay, and had really good coverage. Trails without snowmaking were, umm, interesting. I'm kind of crazy so I thought they were really fun, but I don't think most people would like them. Ungroomed, non-snowmaking trails had an un-breakable crust + moguls that formed yesterday when they were skiable. They were actually so hard that I could hockey stop and still wouldn't kick up any snow. :-o On the plus side I skied natural snow trails 70% of the time today and didn't hit one rock. 6-12 inches of snow and conditions will be sweet.
