Thought of this after reading all the "I go to the bar" answers in the Wind Hold thread.
I absolutely love the party atmosphere that comes with skiing. Having some beers in a warm pub or bar after a tough day skiing, or on a sun deck out West, in good weather, is such a great experience. So too are downing some cold ones in the hot tub, or playing a board game/drinking game with a fun group back at the ski house/hotel.
However, I have to say, I find nothing enjoyable about skiing with a buzz, skiing after beers, skiing drunk, etc...I find myself having to pee, not skiing well, and, eventually getting tired/headache. My understanding is that most everyone on this forum skis athletically, so I am not going to use the line "I ski hard, its an athletic sport, so I can't drink and do it" because, I believe, there are skiers superior to me on here who DO drink and ski...
I know a lot of people enjoy drinking some beers during ski breaks, and I was just wondering if y'all could expound on how it is enjoyable to head back out to the hill after that.
I also find it a little worrisome that, in addition to having to worry about your general out of control, wahoo skier, later in the afternoon you have to also worry about decent skiers who are buzzed/drunk. I am sure the vast majority know their limit, but I am equally as sure that there are a handful who do not.
What does everyone think?
