It’s time to get rid of something that doesn’t work and go in a new direction.
It’s time to stop listening to those who tell us what to fear and vote for hope.
Time to get the economy back in shape and stop supporting an economic policy that only favors big business.
It’s time to invest in alternative energy and not relay on fossil fuels.
It’s time for smart diplomacy and stop exhausting diplomatic options.
It’s time to provide health care for everyone and not just for those who have means.
It’s time to empower women and support their issues.

So anyways, to save money I’m going to have the family eat breakfast before we get to the mountain instead of eating in the cafeteria. I’m going to make pancakes on a low energy hot plate. I’m a little afraid it will take too much time, but I hope it works out. I think the smart way to go about it is to tell my wife it will be healthier eating at home. I hope she doesn’t have an issue with it, but if she does I’ll support her.

What?

I'm not sure I get this thread...but...

We usually make something to eat the night before and eat it in the Jeep on the way up. We always take coffee with us.

Only buy resort food a few times a year as a special treat
Bargain shop for cheap equipment and lift tickets
Always ski in the morning and leave before it's crowded
Make time to ski with your kids
Accept that some threads can be read many ways

Low energy hot plate? Would that be a flat stone sitting in the sun?

As a resort employee, we get 50% off on food - That makes it almost resonable...

Still my pack is filled w/ instant soup, oatmeal, tea bags, hot chocolate and anything else I can eat w/ a large thermos full of Hot Water. Left overs get heated up on the top shacks propane heater for a hot lunch.

I do opt for a coffee and a Bagel w/ Bacon, Egg + Cheese, as a mid morning snack - Only 'cause it's $ 2.25 w/ the discount..

We bring out lunch as well. I always over pack...better to have more.

And "ugh" with the politics. I'm burnt with it. That's why I usually come here...to escape it.

...it's blueberry pancakes On The Hood! man, c'mon WoodCore...
It's always been the big, early breakfast at home, that is unless I'm late...then it's the McDonalds egg mcmuffin with the coffee @5am...there are a couple McDonalds around....in town and 26mi to the West, so breakfast is pretty much covered... If I ever go down to Bethel(SR), there's a small diner just out of town that loads the blueberries into the pancakes...too bad it's another county(140mi+ drive) over..
