How's Kearsage? That's right near Ragged as well
Never been. Keep meaning to research it but for some reason I have it in my mind that it is likely pretty flat. Can't imagine skiing the auto road or hiking trails would be much fun but maybe something is maintained. Not high on my list considering it is a further drive than the Notch.

go to Burke Pat.......ski with fromtheNEK. dude freaking rips and the mountain is totally your vibe.

Hearing a lot of Azers talking about Sugarloaf this year as well...........

there are so many little areas in nh that fly under the radar. i saw some good things about black mtn from rivercoil and austin. whaleback looks intriguing from the highway. smuggs has always been a dream of mine, jay peak. so many. I've been skiing for 30 years and i feel like i've barely scratched the surface in new england.

just want to get north more this year then last year. I love sundown for what they offer us but i got sucked into it too much last year. If i get less days in, but more up north, i'll be more then happy.

I know where you're coming from. I had a lot of plans to head north last March and I never went. Luckily Sundown delivered last March. Still, at the end of the day, given my life situation, Sundown just works best for me. I'll be there a lot again this season.

mrg. wtf?

Don't know. You tell me.

Sugarloaf, eh? Hmmmmmmmm......

I hear you there. It's been my mission over the past two years to hit as many different NE areas as possible, often the small off the beaten path places like Black.

Coming from your direction, NH is tough. You could bang out Burke, Smuggs and Jay in a three day weekend.

Killington will probably see the most time, Sundown the most days. Sugarbush is on the list, some place for BC, maybe Mary Jane. I'll have to stay tuned for Sugarloaf, because if Greg is saying to stay tuned, it probably means bumps, and I'd like to check it out anyways.

You need a guy in the west to tell you that is Mad River Glen?

He knows what it is, the WTF was in reference to him having never skied there, despite the fact that he's been skiing all these years and it's an awesome mountain right up his alley...

Foregone conclusions:
SR, 'Loaf, Loon - Pass
Wa - Maybe Pass (Depends on the flexibility of my work schedule, doesn't look good at the moment, but I'm trying to be optimistic)

Probables:
Crotched - Friend who patrols there I like to hang with
Sugarbush - Just need to get there this year

Who knows what else.

My business card says "Denver, CO". I think I'm out there next week. I intend to buy a Colorado pass then.

I'll do a week's vacation out there. That more than breaks even on a $439.00 pass. I'll sneak in the odd weekend when I'm out there working. Cable hosts the SkiTam disabled skier fundraiser at Vail in April so I'll probably hook up with that as a work function. I'll probably do some May skiing at A-Basin. I know enough people out there that a place to stay isn't an issue. It's a dirt cheap vacation.

Aspen is a great romantic get away. Don't ignore Buttermilk if you go. (best mtn in a storm)

Give me a shout if you go to CBK and we'll see if we can hit some good bumpers.

Might be hitting Bear Trap New Years weekend

My list this year includes

Camelback - pass
Jack Frost - race
Blue Mt - Race
Sno Mt - Race
Elk Mt
Ski Plattekill
Stratton - early
Mt Snow - New years
Presidents Weekend - Undecided (up north)
Spring March weekend - Undecided(up north)
Easter Week - Cottonwood Hieghts Utah
