While all the rest of you gloat in your feet of snow,I have to look at reports of 40+ at the K and 30+ at Stowe/Sugarbush.Maine gets 10-14 at SR/SL.Even down the road at Waterville gets 10in.So I look at Cannons report this morning and what do I see? 3,yup 3 inches. Was there a black hole sighted over Franconia Notch? They need to take down the comments on the snow report that says everybody has been telling them they have the most snow in NE.

"Our customers who have been skiing around keep telling us that Cannon has the best snow conditions in New Hampshire right now and more natural snow than most places in New England. With 9" of new snow in the past 6 days and potentail for more, conditions have been great! Don't forget that multi-day tickets will save you $$ and with these conditions, you'll want to be at Cannon for more than one day!"

I'm happy for you guys but I need to sulk for a while and go ski in Vermont this weekend.

Seems like any place east of the Connecticut River is getting the shaft...

Certainly less than Vermont but there WAS a black hole over Franconia Notch

I guess I wouldn't be as upset except our wonderfull WMUR blew yet another forecast calling for 12-18 in the whites.Even outside their door which is across the street from me,they were still calling for 3-8 inches while it was pouring outside their window. We got zero.

That top image is unbelievable! How often is it that NYC and Long Island have snow on the ground and Boston and Portland don't? Also, NH really got the shaft of this storm. Bummer. Scratch that....they got the shaft of the year.

I wonder why they extend that little tip of snow measurement into Jersey, it's like it's just thrown in there. Maybe it's based on a geographical area. The whole northern third of the state has had snow cover for a couple weeks, and South Jersey too. My home is right in the southern area of that little tip. I had about 7" of cover on my lawn when I left for my trip on Wednesday morning and the wife says we got about 8 - 10" today as of about 7:30 PM.

Watching The Weather Channel the radar looks like the snow ends almost at the NY state border and east of there is r**n. Weird.
