I hear you. If I lived over your way Cannon would be the easy play. It's just a little bit further to Wildcat than Cannon for me, Attitash is the same, then 1:20 to Crotched. Tough to pass that up at the same price.

Didn't know the kids programs were so cheap at Cannon though. I've got a few years before I have to worry about that.

It's funny how some resorts offer only a marginal discount for a midweek pass, whereas with other resorts it is a substantial discount.

The Cannon + Bretton Woods mid-week pass has got to be the best deal going at only $359. I need to get rid of all my friends and family so that I can stop skiing weekends.

Do they extend you any weekend / peak day discount as a perk by any chance?

Don't you already have a pass there this season?

Yup - but when you're buying 4 passes for the family (and your credit card cycle starts on the 15th of the month) by buying one this weekend (mine, which I did today) and then 1 or 2 more in next months cycle and the final one after April 15th I can spread the roughly $3750 in next years passes I'm buying over 3 billing statements! Less painful that way! ;-)

I think my Killington/Pico midweek pass was $449 + tax last year, a $20 increase from the previous year. That's early pricing, it increased sometime in June & then again in Nov. After Nov. the price for the same pass was $599 + tax.

That Pico pass is a very nice value especially considering the 3 Sunapee days. If I lived in the upper valley I'd give strong consideration to that

I thought I saw you mention that your pass is also good on weekends after certain date?

Yes, when they go to a weekend only schedule, usually sometime in May. Actually last year they went to a Fri.-Sun. schedule.

On another note it beats the heck out of me why anyone over 80 years old would purchase a super senior pass. Lift tickets are free for those over 80 at both Pico & Killington. Same thing for children under 6, why purchase a child pass? Maybe just for the convience of not having to go to the ticket window.

We paid $25 for a pats season pass for our little guy. Part of it is convenience, and part is because he is in the school lesson program which is cheaper for passholders. Otherwise it wouldn't make sense for us since we go to the ticket window anyway...
