Never too early to start thinking about Sundown bumps again.

Next year they will start the season with bumps on Stinger (to the skiers right of the lift), with a bailout of a cat and a half wide on the left to allow people to get to the park. Once Gunbarrel is open they will move the bumps to Temptor/Nor'easter until racing is over and then back to Gunny for the spring.

So, the first couple weeks of the season should be a lot of fun with a decent length bump run with some pitch. Mid-season we go back to Temptor which might be a little bit of a let-down after Gunny this spring and Stinger to kick off next season, but hey, whatever. We've come a long way since the days of Lower Nor'easter-only bumps. I think this is a good approach as only one early season run is used as a bump/park combo. I know some of the feedback last season was negative since Temptor and Stinger were out for the groomer lover crowd until Gunny was open. With the limited terrain, we gotta be flexible so everyone is happy.

Some of the park rat boarders will probably whack out the Stinger lines, but I look at it as a good opportunity to get more of the jibhonk skiers interested in bumps. Plus us bumpers with crappy air skill can then hit the park. Psyched to hear that the spring bump scene on Gunbarrel will return after racing. This year was awesome.

Buy your passes before 10/31!

I didn't think there really was a way to improve the mogul approach over what they did this year, but Saint Christopher found a way. It's been getting better every year. Eventually we'll have that whole effin place seeded with bumps. ;)

Seems like a fair plan for all Sundown skiers during the early part of the season.

That was an April Fool's Day special. My plan was to move those threads here. I thought the software gave me that option when deleting that forum, but apparently not. Oh well.

That's great news, should keep things interesting at least. I really didn't think there was any other options from this year's plan, so this is a nice pleasant surprise. Nice work Chris and crew!

who told you this?

The plan is Bumps on the steep of tom's to start out with, then moving to exhibition for the end of the year bump comp... We're doing racing every weekend on Gunbarrel until April this year... and theres a 4,500 dollar first place mogul side slipping snowboard contest running the whole season

i think you have the wrong email from chris...

Just for that I'm gonna 'borrow' the groomer every night and seed bumps throughout the entire terrain park!
