So, what are the predictions for warm weather now? I'm thinking I can take the window unit out and get full fresh air now, but I know as soon as I do we'll have a stretch of 100 degree days.

We are moving on, of all days, 9/11. I think I'll just leave them in until we move.

I'm dying to get mine out. I'm tempted to take it out and just leave it under the window in case we get a heat wave. We're forecasted at low to mid 80's for the next few weeks with cool nights.....

We have central A/C now, but in our old house, I would leave the units in until the first or second week in September. Both my wife and I like it cold in the room when sleeping. We even crack a window just a bit on the coldest winter nights.

During the crazy heat we had, I sat right in front of the fan, with a cold drink in my hand.

Same with me. I just sit there and sweat. Although considering the fact that I get absolutely nothing accomplished in hot and humid weather, perhaps AC would be worth my money.

On the flipside, when you sit directly in front of the fan all the time, as demonstrated in Tommy Boy, everything you say sounds like Darth Vader. It's great.

We have central A/C and we keep the thermostat at 70F during the night. Anything higher than that and I find sleeping to be uncomfortable. We usually can stop using air conditioning by September 15th.

We also have two Saint Bernards which become miserable panting creatures if the house gets too hot, not that I can blame them with the thick fur coats that they have to put up with year round.

Oh boy, they're known for their slobbering as it is; must be like a swimming pool near them if it's hot.

i have debated taken it out so we can get some cross circulation going. natural air flow is more important than AC overall, the AC is really only used for when it is above 90 and those days are just about gone.

I think the real hot stuff is already done for the year this year. It'll hit the 80s a few more times, but I don't see 95 in mid September or 80s in October like last year. Everythings happening early this year. The weather today was fantastic. 80, sunny, and no humidity. I wish it was like that all summer. Also makes the nights comfortable in the 50s. Supposed to be quite chilly Thursday... mid 60s. August?
