Oh, and for those that don't realize it, this pass is a one time sign up and good for future years.
Right. More info:

sugarbush.com said:
Already have a SugarCard from last year? No need to renew, your SugarCard is valid for the 06/07 season, and it won't expire in the future! If your contact or credit card information has changed, please call 1-800-53-SUGAR so we can update your SugarCard.

How does it work? When you sign up for your SugarCard, you back it up with a valid credit card. Your card will NOT be charged (other than the $75 registration fee) until you ski or ride at Sugarbush. Go directly to the lift with your SugarCard and it will be scanned before you get on just like a regular day ticket or season pass. Your credit card will then be charged for that day at the special SugarCard rate - no need to wait in line at a ticket window again!

I actually just noticed this was here. Awesome idea and awesome work by all those who contributed. Alot of the BMW e30 forums Im on do similar deals, and its a great way to give to all sides of the community. Not only do the venues who contribute discounts gain more business, but it helps out all of us consumers as well. Good work guys!

With this year so far, here's hoping anyone can AFFORD to give AZ members a discount..

At this rate, maybe the outdoor gokart racetracks.. :-(

You have to start thinking like an investor to understand the mindset. Ski assets (lodge, lifts, real estate), insurance and (non-discretionary) maintenance are a "sunk cost. You are looking for return on investment. Who wants to run a lift with no bodies? Variable costs are largely labor and energy. Of course you charge what the market will bear. In some cases, just getting bodies in the lodge becomes the objective"They hope to make it up on the burgers, chapstick and beer.
Selling ten $10 burgers and beer, rentals and lessons, when giving away lift ticket sure beats selling nothing. Then again, as soon as they can (now) they will ratchet the ticket prices back up; this is high season.

Just curious. Anyone else use their SugarCard or a Pats coupon yet?

I had a voucher for Sugarbush, so when I went there I redeemed my voucher for a Sugarcard, got registered, a mug shot and a nice chain to hang it on. So I'm all good to go to use it next visit later this month.

Thanks!
