Looks like an interesting one in store for the NE. All the models agree..a storm is coming... Snow sleet and rain, freezing rain. I'm not looking forward to the drive to Gore but I think it may be worth it.

I will be at attitash for the first day of seasonal programs. Excluding Sunday, NWS shows snow from tonight through midweek, it is needed. NAM is running now.

The further north the higher chance of all snow. We will get sleet and some freezing rain in SoVT but I hope to get out after deicing as its likely to change back to snow mid/late morning. Question is how much crust? Once groomed or chopped up from skiing it should be pretty good. Certainly a base builder for natural terrain.

A minute from the Alta exit off the I-15!
I'm not crazy about chasing when it's just groomer skiing. I'll do it but it's not worth a long drive or risky driving conditions (ice and sleet also expected to mix in pretty much everywhere). Next week my buddy and I will be up in NH. We're timing it perfectly....jackpot for both storm. Skiing's gonna get really good really fast if the forecast pans out. Get this 6-8" of glop down then Sunday-Wednesday a surprise storm with tons of wraparound precip through the early week. I bet by Wednesday some places in the VT spine will have over 2 feet from both storms.

At Sunday River, will be skinning up with friends at 730 for first tracks then a superman change in the owner locker to be dry for the balance of the day. Looking all white up here. Snow just in time for WH Quad to spin for first time this season.

Buddy reporting 5" on the ground in town at Stowe. Looks promising.

Oh well.

About 3" in my driveway near Killington, snowing at a good clip now, Gondolas are on hold due to icing.

Here in the upper elevations of Enfield NH we got an inch of heavy snow, a layer of freezing rain, then a couple more inches of cement. Knock on wood never turned over and it looks to be done now. Should be good base.

Was there for first chair. First few runs we're SWEET! Then the crowds started showing up so we bailed about 1130. Can't take those first few runs way from us. Good times!

@Bromley we had about 3”, then 1/8” of ice, then 2” on the mountain, then drizzle, then back to snow for a dusting or 1/2”. Sort of like they made 2-3” of man made snow everywhere. Skied ok and will groom up nicely and provide a nice resurfacing and base builder for natural terrain. We just need the pattern to kick in with frequent refreshes.
