As this season winds down my mind has started to head to next year. Does anyone recommend joining any particular Massachusetts ski clubs? I've been researching a little and some seem to get good deals on tickets, travel, and vacation packages to northeastern mountains and mountains out west.

I belong to ACE
http://aceskiandboardclub.org/ primarily for SkiVT and SkiNH tickets.
The club buys our tickets in July, estimating demand, members make commitments in August, distribute them in December. tikets are half to one-third walk up rates. VT tix have typical blackout dates. You make a financial commitment in the summer, but the tickets are half price. Read their newsletter, you'll see the ticket form and prices from this year. PM me if you want details.

Hawkshot got it down. We've always had the "Lodge" program at Mt. Snow where we could get up to (4) group rate tickets per day with our membership cards. Don't know if the new owners will keep this program alive. The big plus of our club is our house on Route 100 just after Haystack. Easy to get to Stratton, Magic, Okemo and 1.5 hours to Killington. PM me if the Web page catches your eyes.
I volunteer at some of Mt. Snows summer events and they pay me in lift tickets, I hope that continues also. That's how I ski Mt. Snow a lot.
It looks like a combination of this club and the "ace" club posted by Billski may be a good option. The ticket list he linked to is quite impressive, pretty good deals!

It depends on what you're looking for in a club. If you want a house/lodging close to a mountain, the Worcester Club is a good choice. Also depends on where you want to ski in New England.

If you like Vermont & want discount lift tickets, I think a member club of the Connecticut Ski Council is the best choice (at least it is for me). You don't have to live in CT to join most of the clubs & they have great benefits. Check it out at www.skiclub.com.

They have discount tickets in bulk you can buy during the summer for specific resorts. They have seasonal discounts at certain resorts. Plus, they have CSC Appreciation Days where you can ski at various resorts on specific days for deeply discounted prices. For example, I have skied at Stratton for $32 (normally $75), Okemo for $29 (normally $72) & Burke for $26 (normally $54). I'll be able to ski at Sugarbush this weekend for $30 (normally $66). They also have seasonal discounts at certain lodging establishments that are a great bargain.

I like this club because I get cheap lift tickets at many different places. I love to ski at many different places during the course of a season so it's ideal for me. So, like I said, it depends on what you're looking for in a ski club.
