drove through New Hartford today, the urge to turn left on RT 219 was very strong. i admit, i got a little excited seeing the "Ski Area" sign.

The last few times I went through that area the bridge on 219 right before Sundown was closed for construction, so if you turned left you may have been disappointed...

they better fix that before the season starts. can't be having no detour adding minutes to my commute.

I was driving north today on 15 and thought I saw snow on the south to north ridges of Mansfield. My mind is playing tricks on me already.

I was on I-89 in NH this AM making a camp pickup. Several trees were in full color, an aberration for sure, but it felt good, with the windows down and temps in the 60s.

I'm wearing long sleeves to work tonight. 53 by me, 48 at work...and the sun hasn't been down for very long.

LOL - getting a season pass and hitting first tracks with you, drjeff and vcunning came to mind more than once during the 30 minute "discussion".

"I dunno know though...that Glenn is kinda wierd...I think he's 14 or something...."

Oooohhh! If you had done that, we also would have shown you something even more important than 1st tracks, and that's how to spend 3+ hours in the mid-station :) :)

More August starting to get pumped for the ski season happened to me tonght. On what has become my usual RAW a 12.5 miler that usually take me about 2 hours, I ended up leaving the office about 15 minutes later than I typically do, and the last mile and a half or so of my ride, I was really thinking that I need to put my headlight on my handlebar since the sun is setting earlier and earlier.

Before I know it, I'll be needed the lights for the vast majority of my RAW time :)

Stoke getting higher and higher.

Received my new snowboard today, mounted the bindings on it tonight. I simply had to put my boots on and hop around on it. Also spent a while talking to a friend about what mountains we need to go to this coming season as well.

Start snowing soon please!
